CODE of CONDUCT PLAYERS
Devon Schools Badminton Association is fully committed to
safeguarding and promoting the well being of all its members.
The purpose of this code of conduct is to ensure that all players
are aware of and accept their responsibilities to themselves, their
families, other players and the coaches and committee of Devon Schools
Badminton Association.
- Players will show respect to all other players, coaches and
adults nominated by the committee.
- Players will conduct themselves, on and off court, in an
appropriate manner.
- Players must play within the rules and respect the decisions of
other players and officials.
- Players must respect opponents and their families.
- Players must attend all required training sessions and must
inform coaches if they are unable to attend.
- Players must arrive at training sessions / matches punctually
and with appropriate kit. Tracksuit bottoms must be removed when
playing matches. Small items of jewellery may be worn at the
discretion of the coach.
- Players must not bring valuables to training sessions / matches
as they are not covered by our insurance.
- Players are not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs or to smoke
while at training or representing the county.
- Players are expected to attend the minimum amount of tournaments
as notified at the beginning of the season.
- Players must switch off mobile phones on arrival at training and
during matches.
All players are expected to read this code of conduct, discuss it
with their parents / carers, sign both copies and return one to the
secretary with their consent form, cheques etc.
