CODE of CONDUCT COMMITTEE

           

Committee members shall:

  • Support the promotion of badminton for all children in Devon.
  • Ensure the safety and well being of all players within the squads, before the development of performance.
  • Admit to any conflict of interest and withdraw from votes on any such items
  • Serve the committee to the best of their ability and be honest, reliable and trustworthy in all matters related to their roles.
  • Maintain and develop the reputation of Devon Schools Badminton Association within the wider community.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of matters discussed at meetings as required
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of information and papers related to individuals.
  • Express their views openly within meetings, but accept collective responsibility for all decisions, not acting independently of the Committee.
  • Respect the integrity of players, parents, coaches and other committee members.
  • Support County events, such as tournaments, trials etc.
  • To restrict telephone calls to reasonable hours i.e. not after 10.00 at night and to conduct business using e-mail whenever possible.
  • All committee members are required to have a current CRB check - see Badminton England - DSBA will pay fee.
  • Attend a minimum of 3 meetings a year - apologies to be sent to the Secretary if unable to attend a meeting
