Devon U17 Team V's Dorset

Our first match was home at St Peters against Dorset
on 14 October. We lost 26-10. Dorset came with a very strong side, but
Devon showed great courage and determination. The score line does not
reflect the closeness of the games, with seven of the rubbers going to
three. Rowan Despard stepped in at the last minute to replace
Charlotte Hawkins and played extremely well, being the only girl to
win her singles. Overall, an excellent performance by the team. The
player of the match was Nathan Scase.
