Home match at St.Lukes School, Exeter
This was an excellent
performance by the U11 team even with only 4 girls available we still
managed to pip Somerset 19-16.
Somerset
only had 5 boys and 5 girls, so a massive thanks goes to Scott Doherty
who played for the Somerset team.
I seemed
to be on the phone most of the morning giving directions to lost
parents, but eventually we got underway.
A big
thanks to Paul Owens who got the team warmed-up for action, off they
went enthusiasm and with smiles on their faces. Hannah Griffiths
playing in her first county match had some great single games. Sarah
Hunt played at number.2 and number.5, what a star!!
The boys
played very well winning 5 out off 6 games.
The
doubles saw some super games with Lauren Theedom/Sarah Hunt winning
21-9,9-21,21-15 in a very close game.
The boys
again did very well with two wins for Callum Owens/Charlie Otto. Bobby
Saunders/Harri Pounder won all three of their games, with the
performance of the day against Somerset’s number.1 pairing
winning21-19, 21-19.
Courtenay Whyte/Devon Crosby won two out off three games too.
The
mixed also saw some close games with wins for Charlie/Sarah, Sophia
Summers/Devon, and Hannah playing with Devon Crosby also. The final
result 19-16 to Devon.

done to the whole team.
