Devon U11’s away to Avon U11’s

A real feast of
badminton on display with Avon coming out winners in the end 21-15.
The match could have gone either way with several matches going into a
3rd game.
Avon winning the
boys battle 5-1 with Courtenay Whyte winning his game 21-9, 21-15.
Charlie Otto had a epic match just losing in the end 22-20,11-21,
18-21 & Harri Pounder also went to 3rd game 21-15, 6-21,
19-21.
The girls did
very well drawing 3-3 with Caity Weiner, Lauren Theedom & Sarah Hunt
all winning in 2 straight games.
The boys doubles
were very close with Avon just taking it 5-4 with Callum Owens &
Charlie Otto winning 2 out off 3 Jake Attwell & Harri Pounder winning
another epic game 20-22, 21-17, 23-21 and Devon Crosby & Courtenay
Whyte winning 19-21, 26-24, 21-17.
The girls doubles
were also close but just pipped 5-4 by Avon with Carmel Langlois &
Sophie Laidler winning twice 21-18, 21-14 & 21-9, 21-9 also winning
twice were Caity Weiner & Lauren Theedom 21,13, 21-11, 21-9, 21-15 and
Emily Hutchings & Sarah Hunt also coming close but eventually losing.
Last up the mixed
with Avon taking this 4-2 but with some real close games. Harri
Pounder & Lauren Theedom winning 21-14, 15-21, 21-15 & Coutenay Whyte
& Sarah Hunt winning 21-12, 19-21, 21-17.

the U11 team.
